Hallelujah it is Wednesday. That means tomorrow we head to Texas to meet up with some family, and in the wee hours of Friday morning we embark on the vacation we’ve been planning for over year. And it couldn’t have come at a better time. I am absolutely convinced that when you plan a vacation the chaos waits until those last few months to erupt… and the only reason you stay sane through it all is for the promise of a beach, sunshine, and two pina coladas (one for each hand). At least that’s how I’ve been lately. Also, why is it my kid gets sick the week before vacation? and Why does she get me sick the days leading up to it? Did I mention I’m ready for pina coladas?
Anyway, back to the series. I hope you guys have enjoyed reading about all the gear that can help you be successful this year. I have a few fun odds and ends to share with you today.
Conscious Box is a monthly subscription box that focuses on sustainability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. Each month you get a collection of products that range from food and snacks to beauty. They have vegan options too. My favorite thing in this box was the chocolate banana bar. SO good.
I was SO excited when I got this in the mail. I ripped it open and was so surprised at everything that came in it. It was like the Mary Poppins Bag, never ending!
My absolute favorite thing that came in this box? These Yurbud Inspire For Women Earphones. I can’t tell you how much i’ve been wanting a pair of these. I took them out on my first CrossFit Endurance training run. They are magical. A few other fun things:
There was also some seaweed salad, a gift card for GoSportID, and some other snacks. And this whole “Best Of Box” has a value of over $100 but you can get it for just $25! Their monthly boxes are just $18. You get to try awesome new products PLUS get a package in the mail each month. SO fun!
This is a cool iPhone app that acts like a personal trainer. It helps you build your workouts to reach your goals. It also lets you choose what equipment you have available so you can use it at your local gym or at home. It keeps track of the workouts you do so you can see your progress. At the end of each workout it gives you a recap of how you did, including estimated calories. This is a great tool to have in your arsenal. You can download it from the itunes store.
What are some of the tools you are going to use to stay on track in 2013?

Love me some yurbuds – now I want the pink one’s. LOL… Happy Wednesday girl.
I love WODHub.com – started tracking my CrossFit workouts at the beginning of 2012 and only wish I’d started doing it sooner! You can “log this workout again” so it will show you a graph of progress on, say, Diane. It will let you search to see if you’ve done a workout before and just can’t remember. Plus it shows you a month of completed workouts at a time in calendar form, which makes you feel proud of how often you’ve gone to the box! Or realize you haven’t gone as often as you meant to which may be why your lifts aren’t improving as fast as you want.

I want to try those YurBuds so bad – what a great deal including them in that box! For me, I’m logging my workouts again this year, measurement is key.

I freaking LOVE my yurbuds!!! I have never had earbuds that fit inside and stay in my little ear holes. LOL — You are going to love them! These are by far one of my most favorite running must haves!
